Ex-DEEP PURPLE Keyboardist JON LORD: New Video Interview Available

During his recent visit to Budapest, former DEEP PURPLE keyboardist Jon Lord was interviewed by Hungarian MTV. Starting with the Concerto and the misconception that Ritchie Blackmore had to be convinced to play it, the interview moves on to discuss the relationship between Jon Lord's classically inspired solo work and his rock career and onwards to the Durham Concerto.

Jon Lord's "The Durham Concerto", which was released on CD in January 2008 via U.K.'s Avie Records, entered the U.K. Classic chart at position No. 12.

"The Durham Concerto" by Jon Lord was performed by the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Mischa Darmev at the Durham Cathedral in England on October 20, 2007. Jon took part in the performance as a soloist playing Hammond.
